Yesterday Oprah touched down in Melbourne, and I was one of the lucky bunch to spot her at Federation Square with the Prime Minister of Australia!
Before work yesterday I was at McDonald’s getting my daily Internet fix when I glanced at the local paper to see plastered on the front page that she would be in town THAT afternoon at 4:00 p.m!!! I was set to work at 11 am-6 pm, but knew I HAD to make it down to see her! Thankfully Federation Square is only a 10-minute walk from where my work is, so I took a late lunch and ran as fast as my little legs could carry me! When I arrived, Fed Square was full of hundreds of people crowded around trying to get a glimpse of the famous talk show host. She was on stage greeting die-hard fans, and expressing how much she already enjoyed how pleasant everyone has been so far, and how blown away she was already by the beauty of this country.
People were going absolutely insane…pushing…chanting her name…men even crying! She was only on stage for about 10 minutes, and then they whisked her away.
Although I didn’t get a Ferrari or a year supply of chocolate from queen of daytime television, it was quite the site to see, and an amazing experience to be apart of!
You look like an Oprah fan from…..Canada! It was your lucky day.

Awww yay! I'm so happy you got to catch a glimpse of the Legend Herself. I'm happy you posted the pics in your blog, too, because it was tough to see on bbm! Looove that you're reppin' Canada! 😉
